SUICIDE PREVENTION MONTH

Practice for moments that matter the most.

Pilots have simulators. Surgeons have skills labs. The people who sit with someone at their worst moment get a textbook, maybe one role-play, and then the real thing. Genius Academy is the place in between, for students learning it for the first time and for clinicians who want to practice something they cannot rehearse anywhere else.

the hardest conversation,
before it is the real one.

Assessing risk and sitting with someone in crisis is among the hardest things a practitioner does, and most students read about it long before they ever say any of it out loud. We are opening a two-part experience to any program that wants it, so learners can practice and learn in a place where it is safe to get it wrong.

  • Open to any university, program, or organization
  • Applicable to any discipline or focus area including counseling, social work, psychology, and nursing
  • Available fully on-demand so learners can start a session whenever they want, as many times as they want.
One client, available through September 30.

Learners sit with Riley twice. First to observe and work through what they are seeing, then to conduct a suicide risk assessment in a two-way conversation with her, an eighteen-year-old client facing bullying and isolation. They receive direct feedback both times and can run either part again as many times as they want. Access stays open through the end of the year.
