Meet Ken
Ken, an administrative assistant, keeps to himself. He doesn’t trust others; he feels he has a sixth sense about things. He knows what other people are thinking or when something is about to happen. He believes in the paranormal and feels he experiences it in small subtle ways that only he can detect. He dresses oddly and uses language in odd ways without being aware of it. He doesn’t really have any friends. He can’t really function socially. He’s tried dating but finds it too uncomfortable. Even when he’s familiar with someone he can’t relax. He has too many suspicions about their motives. Recently, as he’s fallen out of touch with his sister, the one person he feels any connection to, he feels he’s been seeing “signs,” both at home at work. More distressing, the coffee mug he uses at work has begun to change shapes when he picks it up. He cannot yet decode these signs and is struggling to interpret them correctly. He is unaware of any condition he might have. Through reenactments and flashbacks, Ken's internal struggle is presented to viewers. They are able to see what he sees and, in doing so, they connect with him and his situation on a deeper level.
