Meet Bobby
Bobby was a tough little kid. He had to be. His father was a violent drunk and liked to come after him. Bobby, early on, found a way to get even by poisoning his father’s dog. He started boosting cars before he was fifteen. He’s been in and out of trouble--and jail--since then. He considers himself a sharp guy; he knows how to find the angles. Right now he’s playing a good one. He’s crashing with an older woman who’s crazy about him. It’s a good situation and he’s playing it along to see what he can get out of it. In the meantime, while she thinks he’s out looking for work, he’s gambling, getting high, and going for dangerous joy rides. For Bobby, life is good. Only losers settle for the daily grind. Ask Bobby and he’ll tell you he has no problems at all. He’s smart enough to stay one step ahead of them. Bobby's perspective and outlook are re-enforced to the viewers through the inclusion of contextual information and footage that show pieces of Bobby's life outside of therapy.
